At last night's ClimateSpark gala, the Toronto Atmospheric Fund announced $150,000 in funding for Summerhill Impact's Shuttle program. Transportation accounts for 27% of all GHGs in Canada, representing the fastest rising contribution. One of the reasons progressive policy to reduce transportation-related GHGs, does not get implemented is because governments do not have the data/information to inform the policy. By tracking/metering a select group of participants' driving behaviour, Shuttle will give people a real opportunity to make changes, and the data we collect will have the ability to lead to long-term policy changes.
